Full description
Wonderful trinkets appear beyond the palace fence: a little pot tells what is cooking in the neighbours’ homes, and a rattle plays familiar tunes. The price of these marvels is not money at all.
A short, sharp tale of vanity, hurt feelings and value that is easily confused with glitter. Andersen knows how to laugh at his characters without making them one-dimensional.
