Full description
People meet in the house who love one another, argue, make plans and keep putting off what matters most. The cherry orchard means something different to each: childhood, beauty, an unrealised future or the chance to begin again.
Chekhov called the play a comedy. Beneath the amusing conversations and awkward pauses, we hear life changing, and how hard it is to choose change while there is still time.
